I want to break free


There are many who are itching to go out in spite of this lockdown curfew. This is an attempt to see the world from a Covidiot's point of view

 Breaking through the clouds peeped out the Moon
Hiding is safe when we know it will all end very soon
Rather shine some light before starting to wane
Than let the darkness turn you insane
We know not what the future has in store for us
So why lock away the only present even if it has a virus
It matters not what WHO thinks of Xi 
All that matters to me is - 'I want to break free'

    Lovely poem stating the primary need of man- freedom. Breaking free from all shackles. Being independent .

    Where are we now- dependent, not independent .. dependent on vaccine, on others following the safety processes, on cure, on economy not shacking us further...

    What is the need- interdependence. Living and let others live.

    Being free and letting others be as well .

Will of your heart

I clicked this photo of a flower in my balcony garden. While we whine and complain about the difficulties of life, this flower was an inspiration in fighting the odds. Rising from a dirty mud-filled pot to become such a beautiful bloom is a story worth being told Mighty did I feel looking down from the perch Until an unseen threat left me in the lurch; Scared and scarred, of the impending doom Down on my knees,  sulking in the gloom; Humbled as I was, pushed to the dust As the eyes locked on earthy roots covered in dirt; Out came a stem bowed and bent Weight of its bloom seemingly adding to its torment; Pretty in pink, displaying strength in fragility A lesson so powerful, about thriving in adversity; It matters not, how often you fall or how bad you start All that counts is how tall you rise with the will of your heart ;
